Tuesday Hikes are being cross-posted to the MeetUp Group "ADK Genesee Valley Chapter"

Hybrid hike split between the full 2-hour hike which starts on the Highland Crossing Trail, heading north past the Brickstone by St. John's and continuing to Highland Park's Lamberton Conservatory where we'll pick up the hikers doing the shorter hike (in the middle of the full hike). We'll crisscross Highland Park focusing on the lilacs. Meet at 9:45am in the parking lot (43.11633, -77.60380) on Sawgrass Drive NORTH of Westfall Rd and behind Empire State Univ. 680 Westfall Rd for a 10:00am hike start. Park in the northern end of the parking lot, away from the bldg. Please use the map link. Please RSVP if you're only doing the shorter hike so we can look for you near Lamberton Conservatory. Please dress for the weather, bring some water to drink, wear boots or trail shoes with good traction and with the warming weather some tick repellent. Hiking poles would be useful on the steeper sections. Contact Jim Bishop at adk.gvc...@gmail.com with any questions. Dogs are not allowed on this hike.

Our hybrid hike consists of 2 hikes that allow us to drop off hikers who prefer a 40-minute to 1-hour easier hike at a slower pace with less elevation change, then continue with the 2nd hike for the rest of the 2 hours at a faster pace with some short climbs. This allows all of us to keep hiking together, when some of our old and new friends need to shorten their hike or some are just starting back hiking after a time off or recovering from surgery.
