Tuesday Hikes are being cross-posted to the MeetUp Group "ADK Genesee Valley Chapter"

Hybrid hike split between a 45-minute, 1.5-mile hike at a slower pace on wide, well-maintained trails heading north then returning to the cars, followed by a second hike at a faster pace with approx. 420' of elevation ascent/descent on the East Esker Trail for the rest of the 2-hours. Meet 9:45am in the East Esker Trail parking lot (43.015279, -77.566501, 67 Pond Rd, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472) at the intersection of Douglas and Pond Roads for a 10:00am hike start. Some East Esker trails are a bit rougher or leaf covered with several short steep climbs or descents, but most of the hike will be on wide well-maintained trails. Please dress for the weather, bring some water to drink, and wear boots or trail shoes with good traction. Depending on winter trail conditions exospike or microspike traction devices may be needed. Hiking poles would be useful on the steeper sections. Contact Jim Bishop at adk.gvc...@gmail.com with any questions. Dogs are not allowed on this hike.

Our hybrid hike consists of 2 hikes that allow us to drop off hikers who prefer a 40-minute to 1-hour easier hike at a slower pace with less elevation change, then continue with the 2nd hike for the rest of the 2 hours at a faster pace with some short climbs. This allows all of us to keep hiking together, when some of our old and new friends need to shorten their hike or some are just starting back hiking after a time off or recovering from surgery.

You must read and sign the “club’s release of liability form” which will be available at the parking lot.
NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT without signing a LIABILITY RELEASE FORM.
