We'll leave a car there, then drive south to another parking area to start our hike. The trail is a rough dirt path with lots of small up and downs, for a B rating. Meet at 8:45 a.m. at Frontier Commons near the intersection of 390 and Jefferson Road and leave for Letchworth via carpool at 9:00. We won't be back until late afternoon, so if you are pressed for time, this isn't a good match.  Bring a lunch for the trail. Also, bring cash for the carpool drivers.  The carpool cost will be $24/car divided by the number of riders. (e.g., 2 cars/8 riders=48/8=$6.) Call the leader with questions. Please sign up for his hike with the leader via email or phone, even if you are not carpooling but meeting us at the Visitor Center. Additional Information: The Sunday Hikes are offered as a benefit to current and potential new members of ADK. All our hikes have a steady pace, so are not "nature strolls" but they are also not "endurance tests", although we do at times hike at a brisk pace. Bring plenty to drink and a lunch. Equally important is the proper footwear, gear and clothing for changing conditions. There may be mud. This hike is planned to last 5-6 hours, plus travel time, but many times unexpected delays can occur, so if you are pressed for time, this hike may not be a good fit. Minors are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All hikers must sign a release form which will be available at the trail head. Dogs are not allowed on this hike. New to ADK?
