If a add a note to an artifact, a BPEL say, how do I then, later, see
that there is a note and view it?

Kevan,

There are two early models in place and we would be interested in
feedback on which one you find most useful and how we should improve
it. You use the phrase "add-note" which is a mechanism that allows
you to create a new "wiki page" within a space. That is, by default
you are adding a note as a new Entity to the Space that is currently
selected. Once created these "note" Entities will appear in the Space-
>Contents->Documents section. (Click the Space in the left menu and
navigate to Contents tab, Documents section). The current
implementation of note entities are based on a Wiki principle which
you can find out more about by viewing the contents of the "docs"
Space.

In addition, you can "annotate" and existing Entity (piece of
metadata) by adding a note Property to it. In fact, all of the
default view templates have a placeholder for a "description" note
Property. The placeholder text reads "Enter a description..." and may
not be as apparent as it should be on the current templates. Editing
this description field in the view will basically add a Property
called "description" and of type "note" (if it does not already exist)
to the currently selected Entity. This will then be displayed every
time you view the Entity within the Registry.

I am working on a technical whitepaper that describes the foundation
concepts behind the system which I will put up on the web site this
week. This will expose the underlying technical architecture and data
model so folks can understand some of the key concepts touched on
above around Entities and Properties.

Hope this helps,

Bill.
