जन्म : १४ फेब्रुवारी १९३९ 

मृत्यु  : २ ऑगस्ट २०१४ 

सूत्रकार, तालुका डहाणू, जिल्हा ठाणे 

आदिवासी समाजातील लेखक आणि समाजसेवक अंधेर गुरुजी हे दि. २ ऑगस्ट २०१४  रोजी  अनंतात विलीन झाले.  आदिवासी समाजासाठी हि दुखद बातमी आहे.  दोन्ही पायांनी अधु असतानाही प्रतिकूल परिस्थितीत स्वतः शिक्षण घेऊन आपल्या समाजाला शैक्षणिक दृष्ट्या सक्षम बनवण्यासाठी पहिला पाया दि. १/३/१९५९ रोजी सूत्रकार - डोंगरी डोंगरीपाडा येथे पहिली शाळा आंब्याच्या झाडाखाली सुरु करून रचला आणि तो पुढे अविरत चालू ठेवला.                शैक्षणिक कार्य करत असतानाच आदिवासी समाज जीवन ते जगले आणि अनुभवले. लिखाणाचे महत्व ओळखुन हेच अनुभव त्यांनी लिखाणात मांडण्यास सुरवात केली.  आदिवासी जीवनशैली ,देवदेवता, गीते ,म्हणी याशिवाय डहाणू  परिसरातील महत्वाची पर्यटन स्थळे आणि वनौषधी यासाखी उपयुक्त विषयांवर त्यांनी विपुल प्रमाणात लिखाण कौन ठेवले आहे .  देवदेवदर्शन, आम्ही आदिवासी वारली, वारली लोककथा आमची औषधे हि काही निवडक पुस्तके . त्यांचा हा वारसा पुढच्या पिढीस ज्ञानाचे भांडार उपलब्ध करुन देईल यात शंका नाही .                 “ 

भाताचे फेकुन दिलेले पळीजहि  (भात वाढवून टाकलेले फोलपट ) उपयोगात येते , मग मी अपंग असलो तरी मनुष्य आहे. मोठा झाल्यावर मीही काहीतरी काम करू शकेन" खरेच गुरुजींचे बाल वयातील ते शब्द किती बोलके होते. गुरुजी मोठे झाले आणि समाजासाठी जगले. अंधेर गुरुजी गेले मात्र आजच्या पिढीसमोर समाजसेवेचा आदर्श ठेवून गेले.                

शिक्षणाचा ज्योत पेटवणारा एक दिवा विझला असला तरी त्यांच्या प्रेरणेने समाजात असे हजारो दिवे उजळवूया . या प्रेरणादायी व्यक्तिमत्वाला समस्त आयुश परिवार व आदिवासी समाजातर्फे भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजली ! मा.  अंधेर गुरुजींच्या समाजकार्यातील दैदिप्यमान कार्याबद्दल विविध पुरस्कार देवून गौरविले होते. त्यापैकी काही निवडक पुरस्कार  पुढीलप्रमाणे . 

१९७६ चा पंचायत समिती तलासरी यांचा -आदर्श शिक्षक पुरस्कार

१९९० साली कै. दामू अण्णा टोकेकर प्रथम स्मृती पुरस्कार

  १९९७ साली अतिथी देवी भव, गोवा या  संस्थेचा -समाज सेवा पुरस्कार

२००२ साली अमेरिकन बायोग्राफिकल संस्था-समाजसेवेबद्दल पुरस्कार

२००५, ०६, ०७  चा महाराष्ट्र सरकार चा - आदिवासी सेवक पुरस्का

  जनता सहकारी बँक कल्याण- कै . माधवराव काणे स्मृती पुरस्कार

 my condolances.i had seen and met andher guruji with my late father, shri j. v. bhandari, wellknown as bhandari guruji in dahanu-talasari area. i was a schoolgoing boy then, but i still remember his zeal and affection.
