From time to time you may want to update species names.
This typically occurs when there is a general acceptance of a new
name, discovery of a spelling mistake, or just because you do
not like the naming convention in a particular list (eg the standard
bird list).
After editing the names in a list (Item Lists from the Main screen,
select list then [Modify], answer Yes to warning, etc) you
can update all existing records by clicking [Change Names To Common].
(This also updates the scientific name, though it is less likely that
you will have changed this)
