Hello Mark

You generate power in this group, for which I thank you.

My next (forwarded) message will contain the response I got from an Indian debt recoverer.

I apologize for my lack of action. I am currently packing up my household, moving to the Netherlands from Chile with my two children, for an operation and radiation, after 8 months of chemotherapy. I am doing great, but realistically I may not be very reliable or active on this matter, although I will continue to do my best.

Kind regards
Lea
(Eleanore Merrill)

Dear everybody,

I wish to express my sincere thankfulness for your being active in promoting our cause. I'd love to be more active myself but I'm leaving for South America in a couple of days and won't be back until mid January. However, for your information (I hope this is going to help you), these are all the e-mail addresses that I have sent my claims to over the past 7-8 months:

I have also been in touch with two debt collection agencies whose efforts have sadly been to no avail. They might be able to help us, though. The names of the agencies (both based in India and specialized in that specific region) are Total Credit Management (India) Pvt Ltd
(website www.tcmindia.com) and India Debt Recovery (website https://indiadebtrecovery.com). These two agencies ask no money unless they are able to recover at least part of the total sum owed. I think it might be useful to contact them, too.

Eleanore: Be strong! I'll pray that your operation and everything else will go just fine and that you'll recover quickly!

Should you need to contact me while I'm away, please do so via e-mail, I will check it maybe once a week. :)

best regards,

-Mikko Vesterinen-

I don't quite understand this. Do you mean you've contacted them but
they have not replied? Or that you've contacted them and they might be
able to help?

Dear all,

Thank you very much for all your efforts and a special thank you to Mark for the great organization.

I am sorry, that I could not get involved much so far, since I just changed jobs.

Unfortunately, working as a freelancer with blacklegs like Adith caused a lot of financial problems for me and forced me back into a corporate position.

I know it is a little late, but here are two more addresses I received emails from:

lang...@adtithmultilingual.com (Anitha)

tran...@adithmultilingual.com (Reshma)

The other addresses I got on hand are the same as in the list below.

I also tried to hire a debt collector before I heard about this group and reported the case to the Bangalore Police Department.

However, both actions were more or less unsuccessful, because the debt collector also only tried to contact Adith by phone and email and I did not want to proceed to the next step (legal actions) at that point, as their fees for legal support seemed to be rather on the high side.

The police so far only confirmed the receipt of my complaint and informed me, that they will look into the matter but within the past 3 months I have not heard back from them, so that I assume that my report has been filed away.

Cheers and once again a big thank you to all group-members,

Alexandra

Both bounced :(

> However, both actions were more or less unsuccessful

Right now, I admit it's difficult to feel very positive about this,

The current situation is that their usual business mailboxes are full,
indicating that emails are not being read, all other email address are
failing as not known (the only ones that have got through are to
sharmila@, to the procurement manager's private email address on
gmail.com, and to the email address in the WHOIS database for
adithmultingual.com), and a new business has started up in the same
office with a similar name.

I get the feeling they've folded and will avoid any liability for debts
by forming the new company.

However, I will continue until I find out exactly what is happening, or
until all possible courses of action have been exhausted.

Hi,

what I meant was that I've used their services but they were unable to recover the debt. However, if we as a group contacted them, they might put more effort into their work because our claims amount to over $36,000.. :)  Most of their services cost something, though.

Of course we will be expected to pay for a debt collector's services.

I suggest that since none of us seem to have the wherewithall to take the necessary steps to pull it all together like Mark White is doing, we at least offer to recompense him by offering a substantial percentage of whatever we can get from adith, say 25%? Mark has done more than any one of us has, and continues, despite his company being in trouble.

I always used admin, coordination, procurement (@ adith), and those are all bouncing according to your info.

I am friends with Sharmila on facebook - I could send her the class action notice by face book if you think it appropriate
kind regards,
Lea

It's a very kind suggestion, which seems to have been lost in as
succession of Chinese whispers :-)

No matter - I wouldn't accept it anyway. If anything comes of this and
you want to show your appreciation for any work I've done, please make a
donation to a charity that means something to you.

What I would really like to do is make sure they are trading. As my name
is all over these emails, there's is probably less chance she will
befriend me. If you can ask her about Adith Multilingual in a way that
sounds like a business enquiry, we might find out something that could
change our direction.

I understand now. And it seems that most people are happy to pay
reasonable costs.

I think we have to take a step back and make sure that Adith
Multilingual are still trading. All evidence I find suggests that
they've dropped the translations arm of their business and are focussing
on market research.

Any suggestions how we can try to establish this before we start running
up fees with debt collectors? Anyone in India want to volunteer to try
calling them?

Hi there,

I will get in touch with Adith and ask them for a quotation for a
translation with an email-address they can't trace back to me.
Will keep you updated about the progress...

Cheers,

That would help.

If anyone else can do the same on Facebook or LinkedIn, that would help

Hello all,

There seems to be a little confusion starting here!

The debt collector WILL charge us for their work. I have no idea how much that will be.

IN ADDITION, I was suggestion that if we are succesful in recuperating any funds, we collectively show Mark White our appreciation for his initiative, stamina, preseverence and patience with our lack of response (at times), and give HIM a monetary thank you from whatever we end up getting. Mark has responded, saying that it is not necessary, and we may want to discuss it more, down the line.

I have written a non-traceble email to Sharmila @ adith (my name does not show up), asking for a quote on some translation work. If she responds, I will let you know.

Kind regards,

Lea

Hello
This is the confusion, apparently. I do not know what the collection agency will charge us! I was only suggesting a voluntary thank you for Mark, as an individual. Sorry that my message was apparently unclear.

The inquiry I have sent to Adith a few days ago has not been answered so far. There are 2 contact addresses on their website, which apparently are still active, i.e. my mail did not bounce. Will let you know once they get back to me.     Cheers, Alex
