Adith Multilingual hired me to do work on several projects and on 12
August 2008 my invoices for US$ 920 became overdue.

Their response to repeated communications has only been to request my
renewed NDA, two times, which I have provided to them. Several people
in procurement have promised on differeent occasions to pay me "soon".

A few people are talking about the amount owed to them. I need to get
some initial figures to take to a lawyer to see how they recommend
progressing with this.

Also, an important factor will be what evidence we can provide to
support our claim. For example, I kept every single email over 18 months
of communications, and lost nearly all of them in a computer crash a few
weeks ago. I have to accept that all I can provide is the minimal
documents of a Purchase Order, their NDA, and my unpaid invoice.

My natural tendency is to record this using a score on a scale of 0 for
'I have nothing' to 3 for 'I kept every email and a log of all attempted
telephone calls. For example, I would be a 1 on this scale, but I was a
3 before the computer crash. If you have lots of documents and
correspondence, but not absolutely everything, you'll be a 2.

I do not want to see any supporting evidence right now. Please do not
send any files or long lists.

So please reply to this one with:

Your full name
Your location (city, country)
A list of all projects undertaken for Adith that remain unpaid
The PO number for each product
Assignment date and completion date for each one
Amount owed for each one, in dollars
An indication of what supporting evidence you have on a scale of 0 to 3,
for each project
A total amount owed, in dollars

Any other suggestions or ideas as to what we should include at this
stage are welcome.

In about 14 hours we have 20 people here already. Yesterday I also sent
30-40 other contacts to people who have made complaints on various
on-line web boards.

It will help our case, and other people who have lost out to Adith, if
everyone on here would look for and contact 1 or 2 other victims each day.

The more people we have, the stronger the weight of our case.

I ended up getting paid, however, after three months of fighting and their receipt of a "notice of intended court proceedings". The total amount owed was in excess of US$ 500 and covered 3 PO's.

To answer Mark's question, my documentation on the subject can be ranked 3 and, should you need any of this to assist you, I shall be more than happy to pass it on to you.

If you got paid, we won't be able to include you directly in the action
that we take. But it's more important that you did get them to pay after
threatening with court proceedings. I did this too, but frankly it was a
bluff and I had no legal support to back up any action.

Can you tell me more about your approach?

I'm glad some people do get paid :-)

It'll be a starting point though. If we send them a list of 20 people
who are owed tens of thousands of dollars, along with the threat of
legal action, they'll know we can afford legal action. Maybe it will
encourage them a little.

For those with sense of humor - "signed" document stating amounts and time of payment. I guess they intentionally misspelled my surname and refused to state the amount owed.
In case it is needed, I can send you (or the lawyer) all emails and communication with them.
The last email I got from them was in May
"Sorry for the delay happening, your papers’ are already sent, but there is the TDS(Tax Deducted at Source) which we should deducted,

I thought of preparing simple wordpress blog, but ran out of enthusiasm and ideas. I know SEO and I am sure, with a little bit of help and cooperation with other translators/agencies we can make the website very visible in major search engines.

Watch out when dealing with local debt collectors. They ask for money in advance and it's not a small amount.

I dont think that harassing them (or the owners) on facebook will be any good. I suggest to keep it quiet so that they have no time to prepare. Let's take them by surprise.

If you want to go this route, I notice that Google Instant Search
suggests the following for searches on 'adith multi':

adith multilingual payments
adith multilingual complaints

I understand the goal posts with SEO have changed since Google Instant
was released, but it was always my limited understanding that an
important factor with SEO was to have a domain that included the keywords.
