Thanks, but this is the third time you've sent them. They are recorded.

Not yet. Thanks you.

Right now I'm collecting information about what is owed to everyone who
wants to be involved in this. Once we have this information data, we
will decide on the approach to take.
You're welcome to open up a discussion on this mailing list. After the
initial interest, it does not seem very lively.

I don't have your details, but just resend them and I'll add them.
> On the other hand, everybody seems to be just waiting for you to do
> something. May I be of any help?
Many thanks for the offer. Right now it is just waiting for the details
of the claims and updating the spreadsheet. I'm not sure what might
happen when we start a conversation with Adith, but I will ask for help
when it's needed.

I have all necessary documents (order, email communication, source and
translated documents) - 3
Total 2280,96 USD owed
Thank you

I agree, but I would like to hit them with an amount. A few of us have
tried threatening legal action in our private correspondence with them,
and though some have had success, others have not.
I would prefer that my first contact with them is to say that we have a
group action against them with a total claim of $20,000 (or whatever it
turns out to be). It might make them realise we are serious and that it
is worth or while to employ an India-based lawyer.
That is something that you can help with. Contact some lawyers. Work on
the basis of no-win-no-fee and a claim of $20k. See what responses you get.
> should all at least write to one to ten persons (or agencies) telling
> them to send this massage to other translator worldwide.....
I agree. I've written to about 40 already and asked others to make
similar contact. But I'm not going to check up on people if they decide
not to do it. How many have you contacted? Have you had much success? I
believe a few people I contacted joined the group, but I didn't approach
it very scientifically - just searched the net for a few hours and
emailed/messaged everyone who said they'd been cheated by Adith.

Rough plan is:
Collect data (closing date, end of October)
Contact Adith (through every possible source. I intend to blitz every
known email and contact point with the same message)
If payment is not made in a very short period of time (I have a week in
my mind, but it's not fixed), then it goes to a lawyer or debt collector.
As we have 2 weeks to go before I'm proposing to contact Adith, it
probably is time to start seeing what our options are for legal action
and debt collection. In my experience of debt collection in the past,
some agencies will include legal action if initial attempts to collect
the debt fail. This might be of use to us, and it's certainly worth
investigating.
So I would call on out India-based members to look into this on our
behalf. To contact a few reputable lawyers and known debt collecting
agencies and get some ideas of what they can do for us.
We will have to accept that if the action fails, we may incur costs. A
no-win-no-fee contract would be preferable. If a lawyer thinks we have a
good case, this might be something that they would agree to. If we get
rejected by everyone, it might be a sign that we're not likely to win.
Let's not get to concerned about this until we get some more info.
Who can help with this?

Ouch. That's a lot
