Hooking SIP/IAX devices in Adhearsion

Hi,

I've had an wanna-do-with-Adhearsion project in the back of my mind
for ages.

I have a need for that project though, which is that I'd like to be
able to handle SIP and IAX devices via Ahearsion. In other words, do
an equivalent of Asterisk Realtime except that the calls come up in
Adhearsion.

So I don't want to have to have sip.conf / iax.conf entries for my
devices. I also don't want to use the "raw" realtime tables. I want
to handle the requests via methods in my Adhearsion program.

Is there a way to do that?

If not, I had in mind to hack on chan_iax2.c and chan_sip.c and
persuade them to push the requests out to Adhearsion via a FastAGI-
style call of some sort. Jay: if you have ideas on how this could
work please let me know,
