Ice Cream Social a smashing success!

Thank you to everyone who came and ate ice cream tonight! It was our
best Ice Cream Social yet. We went through SIX gallons of ice cream
(and I even had to make a mad dash to Abe's for a couple more half
gallons!).

Next Wednesday is the Rib Dinner...tickets are still available from
eighth grade students or in the office. Consider baking a pie to enter
to the pie auction or making ten (yes, I said ten) pounds of potato
salad.

Then, I'm afraid we can avoid it no longer...time to turn the calendar
to October! Yikes! Now the fun really starts. Stay tuned for more
information about planning the Fall Festival. I'm looking for some new
games this year. Laurie Arashi has been working hard on the Silent
Auction (rumor has it there will be some Disneyland passes to auction
off!). Each class will also be putting together a basket for the
Silent Auction as well. As I said, stay tuned...it's going to get
crazy!
