As of 2.2 the main protocol code is now available in its own library, librtmp. This library is licensed under LGPL so it may be used freely in otherapplications. As of 2.3 the library may also be built as a shared library, not just a static library

Some manpages have been added for 2.2. You can read thertmpdump manpage and thertmpgw manpage online as well.
An overview of the library is also available in thelibrtmp manpage.

As of 2.1 there are two additional server programs, rtmpsrv andrtmpsuck.

rtmpsuck is a transparent proxy; it intercepts connections from a clientand then makes an outbound connection to the real server. After allhandshaking is complete and encryption keys with both sides arenegotiated, it records the cleartext stream data into files whilerelaying the data from the server to the client.

It means that the power was back on around 15:37.
The reason for the 2 minutes time-difference between the access points is their loading speed. In the slower routers, the timer started 2 minutes after the power was back on.

In the last few weeks, I added support for recovering passwords from external hard drive contains the most recent versions of Windows (Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7) for some of the NirSoft Password-Recovery tools, including IE PassView, ChromePass, Network Password Recovery, and WirelessKeyView.
Until now there was only support for reading external drive passwords of Windows XP or Windows Vista and I had to do a very intensive reverse engineering in order to upgrade my DPAPI decryption code to work with Windows 7 and newer systems.
In addition to the upgrade of existing tools, there are also a few new utilities in development process that are specifically designed to extract passwords from external hard drive.

For example, if your user profile is stored in c:\users\nirsoft64 and the shadow copy path is \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1 then the correct path that you have to type is \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1\users\nirsoft64 :

You also have to type the logon password of this user profile, because the logon password is needed to decrypt the passwords.
Assuming that you type the correct user profile path and logon password, IE PassView will decrypt the passwords stored by IE in the date that the shadow copy was created.
You can also use the same technique with the other tools that have external drive support (ChromePass, Network Password Recovery, WirelessKeyView, Dialpass )

Be aware that like any password-recovery tool, these tools trigger warnings and alerts in many Antivirus programs and your Antivirus software, firewall, or even your Web browser may block you from downloading them.

There are 2 freeware utilities that can help you to recover your lost Gmail password: Mail PassView to recover the password from popular email clients, like Outlook and Windows Live Mail, and WebBrowserPassView, to recover the password from your Web Browser.

After running Mail PassView, the main window displays the details of all email accounts found in your system. In order to find the password of your Gmail account, you should locate the record where the value of the server column is pop.gmail.com or imap.gmail.com

After you download it, open the zip file and run the WebBrowserPassView.exe executable. Be aware that because this utility can extract password from your system, your Antivirus software may display an alert and even block you from running this .exe file.

BlueScreenView utility allows you to watch the blue screen crashes occurred in your system by reading and analyzing the MiniDump files created on every crash by the operating system. The MiniDump files are usually created under C:\WINDOWS\Minidump, unless the path was modified in the system failure settings of Windows.

Dear Lifehacker,
I watch a lot of online video, and it's great when I'm actually connected to the internet, but sometimes I want to finish what I'm watching somewhere Wi-Fi or cellular data doesn't reach. Is there a way I can download videos from YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, etc., so I can view them offline?

Dear OVA,
Yes and no. Many online video sites operate on a streaming model so you can't just download the video file to your hard drive. They do this because the offer ads, or want control over when and how you watch the content. While you're breaking the rules by downloading from services who try to prevent you from doing so, it's understandable if you just want to finish watching something when you don't have an internet connection. There are ways you can do it, and some methods are better than others. Let's take a look at the most popular online video sites and look at your options.

Downloading from YouTube used to be as simple as clicking a button. Video files used to be exposed. You could just find their URL and download them. Unfortunately that is no longer the case, but that doesn't mean saving a YouTube video to your hard drive is impossible. Adapter is a great free audio and video converter for Windows and OS X that also happens to have a YouTube downloader built-in. In fact, it can often recognize video from most other video sharing sites so long as they use Flash. You just enter the URL in Adapter's built-in browser and it'll recognize the video content. The downside is that you'll generally have to let the video play through for Adapter to capture the entire thing. This isn't a big deal, however, as most web content is fairly short and you can just mute your computer and do something else while Adapter handles the job. What's even better is that Adapter will convert that video for you when it's finished, whether that means a standard MP4 file for your mobile or an MP3 version of a music video. It's pretty much the easiest way to handle the job if you want to save Flash content.

Vimeo is a friendly video sharing site that often lets you download its content without any trouble. Right below the video, you'll often find a download button and the option to download your video of choice in multiple formats. Vimeo leaves the choice of whether or not the download button is available to content creators, which is pretty cool. It's a little less cool when content creators don't allow downloads, but that's up to them. If you just want to watch their video offline, Adapter can pull it down for you, too.

Hulu makes its money off of advertisements, so downloading its content without watching those ads is a little questionable. If you're just finishing up a TV show or a movie on a train ride home or while you're on an airplane, however, you have a somewhat more justifiable reason to take the content offline. Awhile back we recommended Hulu Video Downloader for the job, but people have had mixed success and it hasn't been updated since late 2009. More recently, How-to Geek posted a Hulu downloading process. Like Hulu Video Downloader, this process is Windows-only. All you have to do is download RTMPDumpHelper and RTMP Dump Toolkit and extract both zips to your desktop. Take the files from both extracted zips and put them in a single folder. From there, run RTMPDumper and open your web browser. It'll "attach" to your browser so that when you visit Hulu, it shoulder intercept the video stream (or, technically, the RTMPSuck tool will do this). You'll have to wait for the video to finish before it's on your hard drive, but just like with YouTube you can mute the computer and do something else while the process completes.

Netflix videos are a bit harder to download, but like any other site it can't stop you from recording your screen. If you want to save a Netflix video for later viewing, get a great screencasting app, set the recording area to the size of the video window in your browser, tell it to record only your computer's audio, and record until the part of the video you want to save has completed. Then you can watch it later whenever you want.

Like all of these methods, none are perfect. They all involve waiting to save the content, and that's generally pretty annoying. If you want to save an un-downloadable, streaming video for later you're going to have to plan ahead a little and wait. That said, there are few situations these days where internet access is sparse. In most cases you will be able to watch online the way the sites intended. For those exceptions, you can use the tricks above to save some video for later.

Youtube Downloader HD saves videos to your computer for playing outside a browser or offline viewing. The videos can be downloaded in Flash video format (FLV) or, where available, MP4 formats (playable by iPhone, iPod etc.). The program can also convert files to Xvid format, compatible with most video players.

Functionality is limited to YouTube. Although there is no batch download, multiple instances can be opened concurrently in order to simultaneously download multiple videos.

the zip also has a file YouTubeDownloaderHD.ini. so if you blindly unzip, you will lose your 'settings'.

the ini file has a entry AutoCheckUpdates=1 . you may want to set it to zero (manually). not sure how you get to settings from the UI.

3D Youtube Downloader searches and downloads a variety of media from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, LiveLeak and many other sites for playing outside the browser or offline viewing. The program even downloads subtitles and 3D video from YouTube and Dailymotion. High speed download is available with multipart downloads and HTTP compression, as well as proxy support to help circumvent network restrictions.

The search tool includes a variety of criteria including size, detail, ratings and many more. The interface provides options for different types of users including advanced for detailed view of available formats and quality levels, as well as a conversion mode for moving files to a different format altogether. The program supports a variety of media file quality and formats including WebM, MP4, FLV (video) and M4A, OGG, MP3 (audio), as well as conversion to AAC, WMA, SPX and many more.

The program can view YouTube RSS aggregators so you can see and download the latest in a series. A separate, non-free version is available for batch operations, but it is possible to run multiple instances of program for concurrent downloads.
