I´m a long time developer in the ADF technology and a huge advantage
over other frameworks was the table pagination feature. I just can´t
understand why this feature was replaced by table scrolling in the 11g
version.

Agreed this is a common complaint of the 11g component set. You and
others will be happy to know that Oracle has listened to it's
customers and within context of the upcoming JDeveloper 12c a new
"SimpleTable" will bring the pagination support back.

Usual disclaimer: Oracle can't guarantee the feature will make the
production release, and we can't comment on release dates.

Hi Chris ,

One more thing i would like to say  that af :table is  also lacking select all /select none feature.Which is present in Trinidad faces.

This feature good to have .

Thanks

A good suggestion. Feel free to raise an Enhancement Request with
Oracle Support.

Hi all,

Basically I think that af:table was made to support much higher volumes of data. Select all is a potentially dangerous bird as it forces the whole data model to be loaded, which can be very CPU and memory intensive if you have more than 2000 rows. That being said, I agree about pagination, I had to implement it on my current project for the same reason.

Hey Chris,

Please lobby for pagination feature , I really miss it after it got absconded from 10g to 11g ADF migration.
I hope it come back with much improvement that can support multiple way of rendering this feature like
GUI , Number of rows.

Thanks,
Hasim

Isn't BI 11g ADF based?
It has a table with paging, as can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG-la4r69Wk
