Approach to integration between ADF BC application and Oracle Business Rules

Hi,

I'm looking for advice what is the best practice to use Buisness Rulse engine from SOA Suite to validate data in ADF BC application. I mean not only single attribute validation, but also more complex rules e.g.: localization must have at least one department and department must have at least 3 employees. What are possible approaches for such integration ?

Hi, 

Technically, this might help you achieve what you're looking to do - 

However, before trying to do something like this, you should perhaps put things into perspective:
 -  An ADFbc application is perfectly capable of doing the kind of validations you're referring to, so what would be the motivation behind delegating these validations to the rules engine?
-  Will your ADFbc service (API) ever be used to create a department with less than 3 employees? 
- Are you developing a business service or a business process?

An analysis like this will help you avoid problems later. Also look at some simple examples of where the rules engine is best suited:
