trying to contact the adeona development team

I've got an article intended for publication reviewing adeona. My
previous attempt to contact the dev team via e-mail has failed.

What I'd like to know is:
'Will adeona ever be fixed and if so, what's the projected timeframe?'

IOW, will OpenDHT ever be replaced, or will a workaround for adeona's
problems with OpenDHT (I installed adeona, and it certainly appears to
be connecting to the OpenDHT network) ever be created?

I would also like to know if there is ANY movement on the Adeona
software or implementing a replacement for OpenDHT. Adeona seems to
be abandonware, and OpenDHT just doesn't return any results from a
running Adeona client.

If it is not longer being developed, or if OpenDHT is dead (the
OpenDHT mailing list is also essentially dead) PLEASE PLEASE say so on
the Adeona website or take it down altogther. Otherwise YOU ARE
GIVING PEOPLE A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY FOR A TOOL THAT APPEARS TO
WORK BUT DOES NOT AT ALL!

Thanks for that information Dave. I have this morning written an
email letter expressing my concerns to the President of the University
of Washington, the Special Counsel, and the chair of the computer
science department.

I just received a reply from Tadayoshi Kohno a few moments ago
indicating that they are working on a response to my questions but are
awaiting "sign-off" from the Adeona dev team before publishing.

The Adeona developer mailing list was also copied on this response to
me. It is not possible however for me to browse the developer mailing
list archive as it is apparently private to UW students and faculty
only (not open-source friendly).

I also provided Tadayoshi with a copy of the letter I sent this
morning to the president of the University of Washington and others.

Hopefully the dev team will provide a public response and take some
immediate and concrete action.
