Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Psalm 112:3
Since Tuesday, the U.S. stock market has plunged more than 300 points prompting investor sell offs and fears of another mini crash reminiscent of 2008. I must admit, at first hearing, my chest tightened as my thoughts backtracked some four years to not only our own losses, but the millions of families who saw their life savings vanish! Truth be told, sliding Dow Jones headlines were not my only concern. Several top stories left me wondering what will come of this great Nation as its moral fiber, built on Biblical truth, continues to fray. My gloom, held by many I've encountered this week, turned to gladness as my glance at the temporal was replaced by a stare at the eternal. That gaze re-revealed (Lord, thank You for shedding the scales of fear time and again) the true riches available to those who delight in Him. Our discovery of the blessings celebrated in Psalm 112 lands us in a much needed place this week, a house filled with more riches than could ever be accumulated by the most bullish of markets. Behind its walls lie hearts completely captivated by Jesus. Such devotion opens the doors of Heaven and deposits a wealth of spiritual blessings in our accounts. So when the following situations come, and they will, go to God's bank and freely, without limitation, get all you need!
Got fear, Withdraw peace. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
Got tears, Withdraw joy. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, Rejoice! Phil 4:4
Got hate, Withdraw forgiveness. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave you. Eph 4:32
Got jealousy, Withdraw security. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9
Got lack, Withdraw abundance. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. ...John 10:10
Got spiritual attacks from the enemy, Withdraw His word. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:11,17
Got questions, Withdraw answers. For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. Prov 2:6
Got nothing, Withdraw Everything! This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 1 John 4:9
