Uploading Files

Yesterday I at last managed to upload the first part of my "Photography of Adeniums for Beginners" to our files section, it shows how to get from your initial camera image to a more attractive one to show the group; or how to get from this:

I have been trying since last May to upload some files but keep getting the message "You may only upload files smaller than 5120 KB".  The file size of the total article is 2011 KB but I could never upload it.  I split it into two halves, the first part which I successfully uploaded is 1070 KB.  The second part which is only 794 KB, I have been completely unsuccessful in uploading - I keep getting the message "You may only upload files smaller than 5120 KB".  My second part is considerably smaller than this.  Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?  I need help!  I have also failed totally to upload my article on "Flat Grafting, an Update", an article which I am sure some of our members would find helpful.

I have at last managed to find this group but cannot find any way to see the messages.  Any ideas?
