Adelaide Ruby Saturday Sessions

Hi All,

I've talked to a few people about this and now in the process of pulling it all together.

We're aiming to start up an open coding session on the Saturday following the monthly meetups. The main goal is to complement the presentations with a more hands on component in which some of the more experienced guys can make themselves available to help out newbies working their way into the Ruby / Rails world.

The guys at the Majoran Distillery have been fantastic and offered to host this, so we've locked in the first one for the 9th of March from 10am-1pm. I'll get this on meetup.com shortly.

So, basically:
If you are / know of anyone struggling with anything Ruby, you'll have a place to send them for some hands on help
If you're a pro (or aspiring pro) there's a great opportunity to try your hand at some casual mentoring
If you just want to spend a late morning hacking some Ruby with a group of like minded people, you know the place to be!

Any feedback / suggestions more than welcome & let us know if you're interested in making the first session.

Awesome idea Chris. Keep working on it! I'm eager to help but am low on spare time right now...

I've been thinking for some time now how great it'd be to have a more hands on session.  Also for more experienced devs to pair on projects for learning different approaches, plus code kata's and tech book reviews (through coding).
