Iyengar Yoga, named after B.K.S. Iyengar, is a form of yoga that emphasises precision and alignment in the performance of each pose (asana). was introduced by B.K.S. Iyengar who was born in 1918 in India. He started practicing yoga at the age of 12 years with his brother-in-law Sri T Krishnamacharya who was a student of Tirumalai Krishnamacharya who brought yoga to the west from India in 1924!
