Dear all,

I was running a simulation on a rather large geometory_files.dat and I received a residual norm error for going over 50,000 iterations. I know there are some solutions to that so I'm working on that, however I got a message about explicitly calling clfftTeardown and I am unfamiliar with this. I search the manual for this term and was unable to find it (maybe I missed it). Can anyone shed light on this message?

Hi Ismail,

To my understanding, the message means that ADDA has failed to converge => ADDA terminates, and clFFT is also terminated.
The message says: "clFFT terminated, but it had had some memory (RAM) allocated, and did not free this memory upon termination. If you want to free this memory, run the command clfftTeardown".

My quick opinion on what to do: don't worry, keep doing simulations. When you solve the convergence issue, the memory issue will go away as well.
Just watch the memory usage in your operating system (in windows - Task manager).
If you see memory overload, restarting the computer is the fastest way to free the memory.

Kind regards,
Alexander
