Hi,
The techs at Google suggested I report this issue to you for resolution. The following is a copy of my email to them. It is self-explanatory.
Thanks,
Bob
I have discovered what was causing Google Chrome to not allow me to sign into Google Analytics. It was Google!
Clearing the cookies & cache made no difference (I had tried this on my own several days ago). So, I uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it. I STILL couldn't sign in to Analytics. Then, for some reason, I thought I'd disable AdBlock for the Google Analytics site. That worked!
So, this is how it turns out...
When I install Google Chrome, you automatically provide me with AdBlock so that I am not annoyed by unwanted ads as I browse the net. This is a good thing. However, as it appears, the only way Google Chrome will allow me to sign into Google Analytics is if I give permission to Google Analytics to annoy me with unwanted ads. Do I have this right?
It also appears that this department of Google techs is not aware of this situation as the disabling of AdBlock was not a suggested fix to my problem.
The above situation is too absurd to be true. So, I'm guessing there must be some other underlying problem on my system that fixes itself when I disable your AdBlock program. Can you please look into this and get back to me with a suggestion of how I can properly solve this problem?
Thanks,
Bob
