A Full HD IPS display allows customisation of the keyboard with any background image, video, or an interactive style. It can automatically switch between profiles to reveal the most relevant keyboard shortcuts and fully customisable macros for any software, or switch to any language.
Each key is magnetically suspended with rare earth magnets allowing them to be 97% transparent and ultra low friction. Each switch has 4mm of travel and will be available in linear and tactile variants. They also feature a software adjustable actuation point in 0.1mm increments and rapid trigger functionality through analog hall effect sensing.

The sensors used in the Flux Keyboard do not act like on/off switches but rather can sense the precise position of each key.
When rapid repeated keystrokes are required, the limiting factor becomes key release. Traditional mechanical keys must be moved to a higher release point before they can be activated again, slowing the whole process down compared to analog keys which can be released immediately.
Use it as a scroll wheel, volume wheel, or assign it to any variable in supported applications. The side dial features a machined aluminium wheel, which can switch between a clicked and smooth rotation, and a transparent rocker switch to switch between functions and view dial status.

Analog hall effect sensors are the best type of sensors for gaming as they allow for adjustable actuation point and rapid trigger functionality which provides some advantages for rapid direction changes or in rhythm games. Polling rate is 1000hz with 1-2ms latency, however the performance may exceed higher polling keyboards as most real world latency comes from the key travel time and debounce.
No, the keyboard is not recognised as a display device by the host computer operating system. It is driven by its own independent efficient embedded microprocessor to provide a more seamless user experience and compatibility with more devices. Hi I'm having the same trouble with my envy 15 as well.
It went for ca 780 pounds but they keyboard is absolutely horrible. The "T" barely registers ( it actually left out the t in that "the".... )
Im trying to mail hp support but it seems to be impossible!! Ill try their online chat support tomorrow, I had better luck with that last time. I hate calling cus getting help can take ages and be really expensive from a mobile
If you get yours sorted somehow please tell! Im gonna asked to have it fixed or be allowed to get my money back or something. The specs are good and it works well, but the keyboard is just.. barely usable to put it harsly.
It is normal. I was provided an Envy 17-j029nr as a "loaner/tester" by HP to facilitate my participation in this Forum. My ONLY complaint is keyboard flex and nonresponsiveness. It will not recognize double letters. If I try to type "letters" it always comes out "leters" unless I slow down and punch the "t" twice very distinctly and slowly. I am thinking about trying to remove the keyboard and possibly stick a piece of thin rigid steel plate under the keyboard to hold it up but the keyboard is an island key type and not easy to get to and I cannot disassemble it too much.
When I reset windows 11 and reinstalled deleting all files etc. the keyboard and mouse were back working perfect. The problem arose again when I flipped the screen back to tablet mode and than back the keyboard and mouse stopped working again. Anyone know if there is a hardware switch internally that triggers tablet mode when you flip the screen ?

Still, from your description it sounds like trying a few approaches to help increase the friction/tension to get the cable to stay in place may help. Have you tried holding the ribbon cable in place, powering on, and seeing if the keyboard works?

I don't suppose anyone might know if Apple have added in or have plans to add in keyboard shortcuts for manipulating objects within Flex Pitch - notably "set to perfect pitch" or "original pitch" - it is extremely time consuming and tedious when using this awesomely powerful tool having to constantly resort to mousing rather than keyshortcutting...
I am trying to make react native UI using FlexBox. But when keyboard pops up, it messes up the UI. Take a look at screenshots and code. I think something is wrong with my FlexBox code.It is trying to divide remaining screen space between elements according to given flex value.
The glop on the left is flux applied before soldering. The rugged terrain on the right is the exceedingly gummy adhesive holding the cable to the keyboard, which turned out to be surprisingly heat-sensitive.
The alert reader will have noted the cable has eight traces, enough for a 35 matrix of 15 keys, but the folding wing has 16 keys: the second row has four keys. I have no idea how they made that work, other than perhaps resistive coding for some of the keys.
Next, place a piece electricians tape folded over to create a pull tab at one end. With the tab end placed just below the contacts on the ribbon cable you'll have an easier time inserting the ribbon into the connector and holding it in place as you press the clip down. There is no force required here! It's the stiffness of the ribbon cable you need to fight as it wants to straighten out.
If you managed to scratch the carbon traces on the plastic flex it may not work properly - plastic tweezers can be a good thing if you are worried about damaging it. If you remove the blue plastic from the tip of the flex cable it will not be rigid, or as thick, and will not get a good connection / or work at all.
The plastic clip / clamp on the socket is mandatory - you will not get a good connection or at all without it. if it has slid off the back of the connector it is possible to put it back on with a magnifier and some tweezers - but be careful, it is easy to damage the connector.
Is it possible to set a keyboard key to engage the A320 flex throttle setting?
The travel distance on my throttle between TOGA and flex is tiny and i want to use a ksy to send the throttle to the flrx detente.

I just tried the warthog throttle and this gives more travel
between the 2 settings and might be the better one to use.
