Hello Mike,

I have not used Adaptrade, in fact it's been over a year now. I know I am using a slightly older version but this still this examples project should load up like it used to so I can relearn the steps and processes, I have not even changed anything on the examples because I want it to be as clean as possible so I can replicate it for others. However, I am getting error to even download history from the sample project which is odd because really I never even made changes there.

Also, I manage to sign up to IQFeed trial, do I still need to go with the csv option here with IQFeed. I only have a week trial for IQFeed, depending on how it goes I may or may not continue with it. How can I connect or can I connect from Adaptrade to IQFeed directly?

Depending on the version you have, the data file is either in the Examples folder of the installation folder or in C:\Program Files\Adaptrade Software\Data. For recent versions, you can right-click on the chart and select "Select Price File" to select the file. If you don't have that, just delete the chart, go to the Build Symbols window, and select "Plot Symbol" to add the chart again.

You should save your data as csv. The user's guide explains in detail how to import data in the chapter Symbols and Settings, Symbol Library, Adding a Symbol.

What I noticed is, it somehow briefly worked the other day, but I am going to ignore that because it's not been able to upload the data so far properly and predictively. What I notice though, is that it's able to upload the data, obviously I adjust it via data format, BUT on the last part when I do a "view data", see the logs. It breaks there.

I somehow got the ES_Continous_contract_15M working and now trying to build the example you shared but it's showing a lookback errors. Honestly haven't changed a setting I can think off, I use the original project build from that website too, that does daily rebuid or walk forward optimization. Where is it going wrong here? Why it's not building properly? Is it because of time or data?

According to your build settings, you only have 3 days of data in the training segment. The build report will show you how many bars that is if you don't want to look at the symbol file directly, but it's apparently too few bars. I think the error message is pretty clear: you need more data.
