Hi,

I have the current version of Amibroker. I use Norgate for my data. I am having difficulty getting data into Builder - its obviously something to do with the format of the export.

Is there Amibrker Code that will export into the right format for Builder?

Alternatively, how do I export correctly from Norgate?

Any help warmly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jonathan

I don't know anything about Norgate specifically, but Builder has a fairly flexible formatting feature for data files. As long as the file you export from Norgate is in some sort of text file format, such as txt or csv, it should work. The Data File Format window allows you to select the field delimiter (comma, tab, semi-colon, or space), and the Data Format window (click the "Specify Data Format" button) enables you to specify the formatting for numbers, dates, and times if necessary. For simple formatting, you can use locales, such as "English (US)", which sets the formatting for numbers, dates, and times together. Both windows have help icons ("?"), which bring up the relevant sections of the help files if you need additional details. Also, I have a video on "Adding a Symbol to Builder", which is under the Videos link on the site.

Hello Jonathan,
Look under code snippets  in Amibroker and select - File - Data export.  That code will create a text file for each stock when you run the scan. In Adaptrade add your symbol i.e text file for each stock to the symbol library.
