VPS for Tradestation

Hi Mike,

I want to ask you for advice. My broker is Tradestation. I want to minimize slippage. I tried several VPS providers and I calculated the difference in choosing a VPS provider.
Which VPS provider do you have the best results with? Well thank you.

For me the main thing I look for is where the vps is hosted. My vps is hosted in the same datacenter as my brokers servers (Oanda NewYork). I use Kamatera and get around 3-4ms latency using Metatrader 4. There are providers that advertise as being trade software friendly and others that are more general. One thing to keep in mind is a vps isn't generally suitable for backtesting and optimizing so if you are planning on using those features in Tradestation you should be looking for a dedicated server instead.

There is a Tradestation-specific cloud host that does everything, including installing and instance of Tradestation. I was impressed with the service and customer service but ultimately didn't use it.
