Not including trading costs could certainly be the reason you’re not getting a close correspondence between the results in Builder and those in MultiCharts. You should always include trading costs in the build process. Costs are set on the Build Symbols window for each symbol – there’s a “Costs” column on that window, which you should see when you add your symbols prior to building. If the different results are due to some other reason, I recommend you read through the discussion in the FAQ item on that topic, which you can find in the user’s guide on the site at http://www.adaptrade.com/Builder/Builderfaq.htm#Q4.

I already have very low trading costs as far as stocks are concerned. But every system I create is positive, but when I add the costs I get into the minus.Where can I enter the costs at AT so that the costs are immediately taken into the calculation with?

You should be getting a pretty close correspondence. When that’s not the case, it’s usually something simple, such as a point value, costs, date range, etc. If you’ve checked all the simple things, I suggest going through the other items mentioned in my FAQ item on the topic. You can find that in the user’s guide/help files or at this link. If you need additional help, please contact me directly via email. I would need to see all the files.
