Hi everyone,

I hope this finds you starting 2026 with some clarity and intention.

I've been noticing something: many of us sense that the "old ways" of doing social impact work aren't quite working anymore.

  • Power dynamics are shifting.
  • Leadership models are evolving.
  • AI is changing how we work.
  • Funding is diversifying in unexpected ways.
These aren't future trends—they're happening right now. And they require us to lead differently.

So I'm hosting a free workshop on Tuesday, January 20 at 9 am EST to explore the 4 major shifts reshaping our sector and help you create a strategic pivot plan for navigating them.

Here's what we'll cover:

✅ Your leadership identity – Understanding whether you're operating as a boss, follower, or leader (and how to shift)

✅ The 4 shifts – Deep dive into POWER, LEADERSHIP, SKILLS, and FUNDING transformations

✅ Your pivot plan – Specific 30-day actions to position yourself for what's coming

✅ Network mapping – Strategic relationship-building to navigate these changes

✅ Framework introduction – Access to practical tools for the year ahead

Two ways to participate:
  • Live on Tuesday, January 20 at 9 am EST
  • Recording available for 7 days if you can't make it live

Limited to 300 spots.

While this workshop centers women of color and historically underrepresented leaders in social impact, everyone committed to people, planet, and purpose is welcome.

The future needs more leaders, not more bosses and not more followers. I'd love to explore what that means together.

Warmly,
Maya
