Hi all,

The TWP CoP has just published the September- October edition of the newsletter. This edition includes:

  • An interview with Kate Whyte and Judith Kent. Kate and Judith have both recently left FCDO after long careers working in HMG, and together they bring a combined 5+ decades of experience working on foreign affairs, conflict, and international development. We are very grateful to them both for sharing the insights and wisdom they have accumulated over the years in what was a wonderful conversation filled with laughter.
  • Information on a paper by Beverley Jones and Daniel Oosthuizen with Dr Abdelgalil Elmekki and Esraa Ahmed entitled: “Political Economy Analysis in Sudan: Handy Tools for Everyone?” that the TWP CoP is publishing in collaboration with TPP. The paper tells a story of a group of young people in Sudan used participatory political economy analysis in what became a form of political empowerment.
  • A literature review by Sharon Boadu on the political economy of air quality management, with reflections on Ghana. Sharon is a Mo Ibrahim Scholar and MSc student at the University of Birmingham, and she is doing her master’s thesis on “The Political Economy of Air Pollution in Ghana”.
  • An invitation to be a part of conversations on the potential for TWP for effective Humanitarian Response.
  • And of course, latest publications, events, and resources of interest from a TWP perspective.

We have scheduled another session for Tuesday the 26th of November 2024, with two sessions: Session 1 for 09:30am and Session 2 for 15:00pm GMT so that we can accommodate as many people as possible in different time zones. Meet up with other TWP'ers and tell us what you are working on.
