Hi Everyone,

Here is the list of our upcoming titles from July to January. Due to the juggling of my uni timetable we have shifted bookclub to a little later at 7:30pm on the last Monday of the month, we thought this would be better than changing the day.

July 25th: Alice in Wonderland  by Lewis Carroll and the 1951 animated film by Clyde GeronimiWilfred Jackson and Hamilton Luske

August 29th: I Am Legend by Richard Matheson and the 2007 film by Francis Lawrence (optional extra: 1971 film by Omega Man by Boris Sagal)

September 26th: Of Mice & Men by John Steinbeck and the 1992 film by Gary Sinise

October 31st: Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl and the 2009 film by Wes Anderson

November 28th: Watchmen by Alan Moore and the 2009 film by Zack Snyder

January 30th: Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf & The Hours by Michael Cunningham and the 2002 film The Hours by Stephen Daldry

See you for Alice in July! Kasia

Thanks Kasia and Jason.

Looks an interestingly varied, entertaining selection for the next half year.

I did enjoy last night’s discussion – one of our best. Helped by the super almond cake, for which thank you, too.

Best regards

John

Hi K*

Hello, I got back yesterday. I hope you are well.

I would be keen to return to book club; I am particularly interested in revisiting Alice in Wonderland.

Love to catch up very soon, lots of tales to tell. Let me know when you have a spare moment in your hectic schedule.

x C*

Can anyone tell me where I can borrow this Alice in Wonderland animated version?

Thanks.

Maggie

Hi everyone – I haven’t quite made it to a meeting yet but hope to do so in July.  Look forward to it.

Maggie

At 3.38pm Wed, there’s a copy of the Disney version at Blockbuster New Farm, they say.
