Some parents may not understand when enough is enough, this is shown by living vicariously through their children and pressing them to achieve not only their dreams, but the parents’ dreams they were not able to obtain as student athletes. This pressing, and this mental burden parents impose on their children can be detrimental to the child’s outlook on sports and life as he or she grows to be an adult.

Every day, children are born into families who do not have the sufficient money and means that are necessary to raise a child in a safe and happy environment where they will be encouraged to set and achieve goals in order to lead a healthy and successful life. The beatings, poverty, and horrible home and family life that thousands of children bear witness to each and every day can be prevented by requiring hopeful or expecting parents to take a test in order to make sure they have a safe environmental and financial future in order to provide the best for their future child.

Protecting both a human being’s safety, as well as their right to their own body, the legalization of prostitution will enhance the way of life for all who provide or use the service. Not only will the legalization of this age old profession benefit those directly in contact with it, but also the entirety of the American population. Through heavy taxation, prostitution could aid the country’s struggling economy, and provide abundant revenue for any state willing to legalize it.

What really is the difference between euthanization and the death penalty, as they are both essentially the taking of a life, one with consent the other without? In addition why is the death penalty legal in certain places in America while euthanization is not even though euthanizing is for mercy rather than for punishment?

The gender roles that distinguish between masculinity and femininity are both unnecessary in and detrimental to society as a whole, as these stereotypical norms ultimately contribute to hostility towards any person who does not conform, thus suppressing individual identity and self-expression as well as limiting opportunities for societal growth in the process.

Please, all are welcome to comment!

Hydraulic fracturing, the process which has been wasting millions of otherwise useful resources and chemicals to release natural gases should be prohibited, as it is threatening our already fragile environment by way of harsh toxins and carcinogens.

By no means is censorship an effective way of curbing violent behavior because there is no way to determine what influences a corrupt mind to project violent behavior, and the possibility of a madman to react to what they are exposed to in the media is strictly that, possible, but not necessarily likely.

The Earth’s atmospheric rise in temperature can be directly correlated to human interference of the prehistorically established cycle of emissions and the filtering of various greenhouse gases. These detrimental events, affiliated with the climate catastrophe, are the catalysts of the increasing global warming scare.

Entirely antithetical to society's moral backbone, gender selection through any means of biological alteration is unlawful, rendering the potential for further gender discrimination and sex ratio imbalances in the future. Despite the progression of modernity, the choice to select a baby's gender contravenes the usage of medical resources, italicizing an inappropriate and selfish control over the nonessential characteristics of humankind while foreshadowing a deleterious future of disturbing designer babies.

At first glance, the salaries of athletes and individuals in the entertainment business may seem astronomically high, but with further evaluation, their compensation is determined by the value that society places on their talents and abilities.

Although regarded with merit for their superpower status and high moral standards, the United States, from an international perspective, has obtained a negative connotation to its name because of its political hypocrisy, acquired social ignorance, and a lack of consideration for its tarnished reputation. Ultimately, this has fueled an army of critics to endorse antagonistic feelings towards the archetypically “arrogant”, “overweight” and “trigger-happy” American, making their character, culture and country perpetual subjects of denunciation.

The United States of America should spearhead the missions to return to and eventually colonize the moon, in order to secure it as a foundation for future scientific, economic, and social exploits.

In a competitive race for college admittance, the granting of athletic scholarships are often misconstrued as taking the easy way out of long homework hours, rigorous courses, and tremendous academic effort. High school is a diverse population with regards to areas of which each individual excels in, and the extreme academic devotion that some students are bound to coincide with the time consuming training of athletes. An outstanding grade point average mixed with solid extracurricular activities is equivalent to a solid grade point average mixed with outstanding athletics. Moreover, with college being a major checkpoint to success, athletic scholarships provide opportunity to those high school students who are not as academically gifted, those who attend insufficient education programs, or those who are not financially stable enough to attend college. Athletic scholarships provide opportunity to those who are not fortunate enough to be born into a path for success.

Organized religion is often glamorized as a cherished aspect of the human experience, but throughout history its fundamental values have been warped and utilized to justify discrimination and violence.  The scar it has left on society stems from repeated genocide and oppression, and while religion’s intent was to unify, it maliciously divided the world.

Here are the things I would like to change:
1. The word maliciously (I don't like the way it sounds)
2. A better way to end the sentence because I think it cuts off kind of bluntly

So if anyone has any suggestions they would be really appreciated!

Working Thesis:

Religion's hypocrisy is made blatant as mentally unstable and cruel characters are praised and worshiped as symbols for what is the church’s idea of ‘right’. Hidden behind the fallacy of purity and acceptance, religion proves to be, instead, corrupt and hateful as it rejects the ideas of anything different or new.

It is proven that the most important decision making part of a human’s brain is not yet developed at the young age of eighteen. The legal age of adulthood in the United States which is eighteen, must be increased because of this scientific evidence. Also, at this age, one is not financially independent from their parents, and is far from being self-sufficient. Changing the legal age to twenty-one will aid in preventing serious issues encountered by immature, and ill-prepared young adults in society.

Best known for its low prices, Wal-Mart effortlessly deludes the public with its facade of saving money to live better, when in reality it is squeezing its suppliers dry and creating an inexcusable work environment for its employees. Under it's mask, the intentions are evil and it's time that America breaks from routine and starts buying their socks elsewhere.

please help on the ending and word choice!

Today the music industry is nothing more than a greedy, power-hungry, and negligent abomination.  Anyone with a pretty face and a synthesizer can become a star, the corporations try to milk every penny they can out of the consumer, and the the people remain enslaved to the industry, in a fog of ignorance.  The popular music today is superficial and talentless, while true talent and artists are cast aside and outdated.

Of all the world famous, prominent, and inspiring musicians of the 60's and beyond, there have been few to go against the grain like one American poet. Bob Dylan's lyrics and innovative style of music changed the way America thought about extensive social, political, philosophical controversies.

Ms. Davis, i dont really know if the 3 part comment was to mine or Orion's thesis because he posted in reply to my thesis so mine came up under his but just in case it is, here is my new thesis:
