Water Meter Installation and Service Technician.
The position requires direct contact with our client’s
customers and candidates should have good customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Job Purpose:
Installation of new water meters to replace existing systems
Accurately reading and recording meters and meter ID numbers
Skill Requirements
Must be able to use hand held computer.
Work with various hand tools, cellular phone, and GPS systems for locations.
Tracking personal inventory for balance each day,
Operate vehicle with automatic transmission, must have good eyesight.
Good Customer Service delivery, communication with management and team members.
Task description:
Work outside in various inclement conditions (extreme heat to extreme cold and rain)
Walk most of the work day. Drive vehicle during the work day.
Lift 25 to 40 lbs.
Stand, stoop, and kneel throughout the day to complete assigned work
Work begins each morning where you will receive new work orders and new supplies at the beginning
of the workday, and turn in old product and supplies at the end of each day.
Requirements
Clean motor vehicle record
Clean criminal background check in all states lived in for past seven years
Pass drug screen pre-employment and submit to random testing for length of employment
Abide by all safety rules and best practices to protect the public, the water utility and technicians from
loss or injury.
Technicians will be expected to work a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Exposure to customer’s pets.
Wearing personal protective equipment including knee pads, safety glasses and work gloves.
No smoking allowed on customer or company premises.
State of Georgia Licensed Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor
Performance of interior and exterior sample collection and testing by an EPA and State of Georgia licensed lead
inspector/Risk Assessor in accordance to HUD guidelines using a portable x-ray fluorescence (XRF) devise
and conduct a lead-based paint survey to include collecting confirmation paint samples and collection of other
suspect surfaces such as glazed/ceramic wall and floor tiles, toilet, sinks, shower pans, etc. Write typed report of
findings including recommendations and photographs.
Concrete Finisher / Worker
Job Duties
Leveling and texturizing concrete surfaces are the focal job duties. The finisher checks the concrete forms for
appropriate depths and angles before the cement is poured. He removes surface imperfections before the concrete
has fully hardened. He must clearly communicate with other contractors to coordinate job stages.
Skill Requirements
Good hand and power tool skills help the finisher make the concrete safe, sound and attractive. Knowledge of
surface designs that prevent slippage and water collection is necessary. Basic math skills enable him to
accurately calculate dimensions of forms and molds.
Preferred Background
High School Diploma or GED. Many finishers receive on-the-job training. Background in concrete mixing
compounds and general construction is an asset. Experience in applying sealants and finishes is helpful.
