Thanksfor the thorough and helpful review. I loved your Herms belts and considered buying one, but now I definitely considering the Gucci one. Which width and size did you choose for her Herms Constance? For the Gucci wide, which do you recommend: smooth or textured?

I love your posts and your outfit ideas are very inspirational. I really appreciate how you give advise for outfits. I was wondering if you could post a little tutorial of how to tie and tuck different types of shirts/t-shirts. That would be great. You and your family look amazing! xoxo

Considering how often I wear mine and how you can easily style it with so many different pieces, my answer is yes! While I have never been a huge fan of designer items that show their logo front and center, the Gucci belts are an exception for me. The GG leather belts are classic and have become a closet staple for me. If you take a look at any of my outfits in this post, picture it without the belt. It just looks incomplete. Adding the belt really helps elevate and pull the entire outfit together!

Gucci belts are measured by centimeters from the end of the buckle to the center hole. I am a 26 in most of my jeans and jean shorts and have a size 80 in the black, brown and white, and a size 85 in the dusty pink. I went up a size in the dusty pink slim belt because I wanted to wear it with some lower waisted shorts. However, I ended up needing to get holes punched in it so could have gone with the 80.

This is really all about your own personal preference, but I will say that I get the most wear out of my white belt. I tend to wear a lot of lighter shades so I find the white compliments what I normally wear on a daily basis more so than the black or brown. My suggestion is to take a look into your closet and see what colors you wear the most.

As for the width, I own the GG leather belt in two different widths. The wider belt has a considerably larger logo and is 4cm wide versus the skinny version is just a bit over 2cm. I like the wider Gucci belt to wear as a statement piece, but if you are looking for something more subtle, the skinny belt is a great choice.

Christmas is coming up and I was thinking of getting your opinion on some of the clothing you wear shown on here.

Where is your white suit jacket, white one piece, and singlet from if I may ask as they are very nice !

First things first, I am a firm believer that women should invest in quality outerwear, handbags and accessories (shoes and belts). These do not have to necessarily be designer, but in my opinion, there is no better way to elevate your look than with beautiful investment pieces. A Gucci Belt is one item that will stand the test of time and offer function in your wardrobe day in and day out, and easily take your look from casual to dressy. I do not regret for one second purchasing a Gucci belt.

I only recommend ordering from either Gucci or an authorized retailer like Saks, Nordstrom and Net-A-Porter. Each of these stores usually always has a nice selection with additional options in style, size and color.

I absolutely agree with you (as usual) on the Gucci belt. However, I do love how you paired it with the beautiful coat! You look so beautiful and classy in everything you put on! Another great look from my favorite blogger!

The coat in camel colour is immaculate; I love its length, the tone and the classic look. The GG belt is trendy for last year. I like it for its versatileness, you can wear it with the classic garment as this outstanding coat is, as well with a casual outfit. You look chic!

Just wondering if anyone on here has a Gucci belt and what size you have? Looked on Youtube and blogs to give me an idea what size to get. Measured myself and it seems id be inbetween 90-100. Im usually a size 10-12 in jeans, but have no idea if 100cm would be abit slack or snug? Not near a store to try on!

That sounds too big to me, but depends where you want to wear it. Like catacats I wanted to get as much wear as possible out of mine, so I bought it to fit my jeans (which sit at belly button) and got extra holes put in to wear it on my waist with dresses. At the time my waist was 28 inches and I was buying size 28-29 in jeans (also a 10-12). My belt is the skinny style and it's an 80. I did go in store first to try on as I found the online sizing very confusing!

Definitely sounds too big, as PP mentioned it's a good idea to go in and try on. I think the numbers are actually cm, so the 100 is quite big.

If you buy from selfridges rather than direct, they list their sizes as inch waist, so 26/28/30 which might be easier to gauge.

I'm a size 8 and and I actually have a kids Gucci belt no judging - it was half the price and fits me well I think it's 65cm actually.

Ah thanks for the replies!

I did think 100 might be abit big as seen someone much bigger than me had 100. I must have measured wrong Ill take a look at the selfridges site, or ill have to make a trip to try it on. Thanks for the advice

Gucci use an off-white shade for their boxes. There is a Gucci logo on the box, the text is very thin and precise. The fake Gucci boxes will almost always have logos that are fading at the corner.

1) Check the dust bag for the brand name in gold letters. All authentic Gucci belts should come in a dust bag. The older dust bags come in the classic Gucci brown which tied with a fine brown string and have the brand name"GUCCI" in yellow gold letters in the center of the bag. There should be a drawstring, with only one string, in the top right corner of the dust bag. All authentic newer Gucci belts must come in an off-white dust bag.

Ask for the original receipt. If you ordered your Gucci belt from anywhere other than a Gucci store or retailer, you should ask for the original receipt as proof of purchase, which will significantly increase the product's authenticity.

But some sellers also provided fake receipts. A receipt for an authentic belt should have the Gucci name at the top, the address of a verifiable Gucci store or outlet, including contact information, and the description/price of the belt involved.

If the belt has a strong smell or even a noticeable odor, it means that the leather has been sprayed and it smells like real leather. It might have happened because they have not been made belts correctly or have been treated poorly after manufacture. The real gucci belt does not have any strong or obvious smell when worn.

1) Gucci is well-known for its top-class quality of leather and craftsmanship. The real Gucci belt leather is of higher quality as well as has more matte appearance than the fake belt leather. And the Monogram canvas versions should have a streamlined GG pattern that begins with the double G logo. If you find tears or stitches in the middle of Gucci belts, it may be fake. Because the real belts have been made through continuous pieces of leather.

2) Fake GG logo will often appear too shiny or orange and might look polished or lacquered. But the real Gucci belt looks a bit aged/tarnished. And the real Gucci Belt buckles are heavy and thick as compared to fake ones.

Most models of belt buckles have screws on the back. Check for visible screws on the back of the belt buckle. If you are buying a Gucci gold belt, check the color of the screw too. The color of the screws should also be gold, not silver.

When it comes to belt loops, be careful with screws. Gucci belts typically have the loops sewn in - this requires more work and well-trained hands. Most fake belts use screws to fix the loop to the belt body

2) Newer versions of the belt and non-leather styles have the logo stamp near the buckle. The font used in the stamp is the 'sans serif' font. Fake belts may lose the stamp or have strange or incorrect kerning in the text.

2) In the brand tag, the first line indicates the style number of the belt, the second represents the art number. The third line conveys the size of the belt, centimeters, and inches, respectively. The fourth line of numbers shows the supplier code.

For example - the first 11 digits of the serial number " 400593 AP00T" indicate Gucci's brand-authorized supplier code for the specific style. The third set of characters," 90. 36," indicates the SIZE length, 90 indicates the size in CM, the number 36 indicates the waist size in INCHES. The last set of characters represents the color; Gucci also uses 4 digits and 6 digits for the last set of serial codes for specific items.

3) The flap behind the buckle that holds the buckle onto the belt is double stitched in 2 areas to keep it secure. Also, the flap that attaches the end tip to the belt (which is leather on the gucci belts) and metal on some others, is double stitched about 6 times to keep it secure.

Gucci is one of the most highly counterfeited luxury designer brands in the world, and it is no surprise as to why. With so many iconic styles and design cues in their handbags, Gucci sits at the top of the luxury fashion world alongside Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.

However, it is important to know your way around the real deal and be able to identify counterfeits when shopping for pre-owned Gucci handbags, as there are tons of fakes out there. The following guide contains tips and red flags that will help you conduct DIY 5-step authenticity check on a pre-owned Gucci bag.

The rear of a modern, rectangular serial number tag contains anywhere from 10 to 13 digits, arranged in two rows. The first denotes the style of the handbag, while the second row is the supplier/batch code. This code will never have letters, and the font contains serifs (feet) on the numbers.
