Hey ACU Members!
Just a few updates for you:
HALLOWEEN FOR KIDS
This weekend we will be holding our annual Halloween for Kids community service event where we host fun games and activities for children.
We are looking for 10 volunteers to help out at the event (you MUST dress up for the event) on Saturday, October 30 in Kimmel 808 from 10am to 3pm (we ask that you stay to help out as long as you can).
A sign-up form will be emailed out this Thursday and volunteers will be selected on a first come first served basis. You will receive an email from us if you are among the first ten to sign up!
ACU TEAHOUSE
Coming up is ACU's annual Teahouse Event, which brings members together for a night of cultural performance and cuisine. Through Teahouse, ACU showcases student talents in a variety in fields.
This year, Teahouse will be held on the night of Wednesday, November 10 and we are currently looking for students interested in performing musical, spoken word, or dance pieces!
For anyone who is interested, please fill out our form of intention to indicate that you are ready and able to perform that night. The form can be found at: http://tinyurl.com/39nr4le
Forms should be submitted no later than 11:59:59 Saturday, November 6.
ACU ASIAN AMERICAN IDOL
Do you like to sing? Are you interested in winning awesome prizes? Audition for ACU's annual Asian American Idol Singing Competition!
Run similar to the hit television show American Idol, ACU's own rendition showcases student talents in the field of vocal performance.
This year's event will be held on Wednesday, November 17, BUT auditions for this year's competition will be held next week on Wednesday, November 3 in Kimmel 406 at 7pm.
Please come prepared with your audio (if necessary) prepared in either CD or MP3 format (we will provide a computer during the audition phase).
Also, everyone should have been assigned to a family by now.
If you haven't and would like to be in one, please contact us at nyu...@gmail.com and we'll find a home for you!
