My experience on Ubuntu 20.20 is that for Steam, you don't need Wine or anything, it'll install all the necessary things on its own. As for Uplay, I managed to get it working with Wine-staging and Lutris with the help of this guide: -to-get-gog-galaxy-on-linux-4689192 (I didn't need GOG so I summarized the whole process here: -on-ubuntu/ ; not much new there compared to the original guide, just less explanations of what Lutris and Wine are).

For those of us who play this game and have two accounts with Steam and Uplay, we HAVE to install the game a second time. That's an extra 80GB just to play the SAME GAME on another account (130GB if you use the Ultra Texture Pack). This became a massive hindrance for me because not only was I losing an extra 80GB that I could use for another game, but I couldn't use my SSD for my Uplay Version, so my load times suffered.

Recently expanded my server and thought about installing all my games onto a folder on it instead of on my PC

Yes I did just map my network drive onto my PC
But this only allowed me to install games from Steam and Epic Games

When I tried to install games from Origin, Uplay which is now Ubisoft Connect, and Oculus Home; they all refused to install

When it comes to the Total Capacity part, you can expand, or shrink the volume later.
Though I believe you need to reconnect the drive and go into disk management in windows again to expand/shrink the drive there as well.
And you dont have to set up the CHAP login if you dont want to, again can be added or removed later.

Note: I've not tested playability yet, just installing games so far.

When I tried to install games from Origin, Uplay which is now Ubisoft Connect, and Oculus Home; they all refused to install. Then I started playing at a trusted online casino website and even forgot about my problems.

I installed Lutris. I was installed Ubisoft Connect with Lutris in Debian. But I could not install in Garuda and Manjaro. How can I fix this?
I am tapping install Ubisoft Connect in Lutris. I see just blank black pop-up window.

I did this recently for my Ubi games and it was pretty painless. From memory, you can point each install to where the existing files are located and it will find them and install the game with saves intact.

Install the installer from Lutris, click on it in the Lutris menu. Then click on the arrow to the right of the WINE icon, click "Run .exe inside of WINE prefix"
(assuming you have an .exe for the game somewhere), and you're set.

To install the latest Ubisoft Connect Beta, download the installer, run the installer, follow the online instructions (log in or create a new account) and once Ubisoft Connect launches you will see a tab in the upper left hand corner where you can select Standard or Beta. Choose Beta to run Ubisoft Connect Beta.

I am in the process of making a program that can allow me to monitor the size of my game libraries on my PC, relocated games between different drives, and archive them off on my local network. Steam has the most straightforward system with the app_manifest files. The Epic Game Store system holds all its current installed game info in a single file. I haven't been able to figure out how Ubisoft Connect does it.

I can't find anywhere that it stores an obvious game ID to install path record. There are several files I have found that are short enough overall to coincide with my installed games count, but they are encoded in a non-obvious format, or encrypted.

20. Back on the Steam page for the Ubisoft Connect Installer you will now want to reopen the properties page. You must open this page as we need to change the target from the installer to the actual Ubisoft Connect client.

While you can still easily install the game directly to a MicroSD card, installing the games to an easily accessible location on your Steam Deck requires you to make a directory elsewhere and create a symbolic link into the Proton directory.

Firstly an enormous thank you for the guide .. took me a while to configure everything & now I have the feeling everything goes smooth.
Ubisoft is installed, and no crash on launch.
I installed Riders Republic, game installed correctly.
But when I want to launch the game it crashes within a few minutes (after showing game loading screen). Have I done anything wrong?

Do you want to use Uplay? This post from MiniTool Partition Wizard offers you a detailed Uplay download and install guide. It also tells you how to download games on Uplay and how to solve the Uplay download slow issue.

Step 2: Run the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Ubisoft Connect. But please pay attention to the Uplay install location. You can change it as your will.

The Cumberland Gap is the gateway to fun! Boasting three decks, this exciting structure can accommodate a high traffic park or multiple classrooms. Each deck is covered with a nature-themed roof, adding shade to the entire structure. A Game, Window and Ships Wheel Panel add fun play stations on the structure, while the Bass and Bongo Drums and Rain Wheel offer exciting ground level play. This structure meets ADA guidelines and is commercially compliant with ASTM & CSPC. A ground spike surface mount is included with the structure, but an anchor bolt surface mount or in-ground mounting kit can be purchased separately. Plastics: Heavy-duty rotomolded & blow molded components. Critical Fall Height: 4'0" Perfect for easy-install, commercially compliant and budget-conscious solutions for daycares, churches and apartment complexes! Assembly required. Truck delivery.

For this, I'm using my tried and tested method that I used for the Epic Games Store originally, by adding the installer as a Non-Steam Game. You could also use Bottles, but I'll talk more about that later. First up, here's the video:

A special important note: ensure you've set Ubisoft Connect to minimize when closed in the settings. In Gaming Mode on the Steam Deck, you need to quickly close Ubisoft Connect once you hit Play on a game, otherwise Gamescope (the SteamOS compositor) gets confused on what to display and madly flashes between the launcher and the game. A problem shared by many launchers right now. UPDATE: thanks to a comment, you can get Ubisoft Connect to auto-launch a specific game by adding uplay://launch/*gameID*/0 to the end of your Steam launch options for the app (ID list here) which gets around the flashing issue but only works for a specific game at a time.

Once you install the program, you can see all the games the company offers. The Ubisoft catalog includes beloved sagas such as Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, and Far Cry. In fact, some of these games aren't even available on other gaming platforms, and even if you have Ubisoft games on other platforms, you'll still need to install Uplay in order to play them.

From the game launcher, you can download and install games from your account or check your achievements and online rankings. In addition to games for sale, there's also a large catalog of free and free-to-play games ripe for the picking. The world of PC game distribution is a competitive one, so sometimes games are given away for free for limited periods of time. And in those cases, the player always wins!

So, I tried to install it that way, but I still have problems, mainly with UPlay. From what I understand, it seems to be a fairly common one, but I have no idea how to resolve it. The installation process worked perfectly fine. When it was done, I tried to run the game and it opened up the Uplay window without problems. It asked me to register, then told me that "the account registration service was not available for the moment" so I registered online and tried again.
Now, it still refuses to connect to the internet and tells me that "there seems to be a problem with your internet connection. Please check your settings or switch to offline mode".
Searching the internet for a bit (after trying again a few times for two weeks), I learned that there is an issue with Uplay and proxies, so I clicked on the "change proxy settings" button, except I ended up there => which is... not helpful at all.

I orginally had that problem as well. There used to be a problem with Crypt32 encryption and you couldn't update Uplay without it. Newer versions of Wine have already fixed this.
I was able to install and play:
