Hi. I'm having a little trouble with Mine-imator. Earlier I was animating the villain of my minecraft animation. I found an appropriate skin and decided to add some interesting effects. I used lighting, camera shake, particles, and a fading after effect. I did this by duplicating the character several times, lowering the alpha every time, and moving each on back 5 key frames. Later I decided to change it to a difference of only 2 key frames in order to have a nicer blur. I have 3 duplications and each is 25% lower in alpha. Later I came back to continue animating and I found that some of the duplicates show through the scenery. It looks really weird but I'm having trouble inserting images. I can send you some though if you give me your email (just more me to insert them into an email and send it to you). Any feedback is help full. Tell me if you need more info.

What's happening is something called alpha glitch. To fix it, make it so the further away a transparent object is from the camera, the lower the Render Depth should be. You can find Render Depth under the "graphics" tab when selecting an object.

Does Mineimator have a virus because on my old computer I downloaded Mineimator and my computer got infected by a bunch of viruses, Can someone please answer this because I really want this software without infecting my computer with a virus

hello i am doing an animation for a trailer for my minecraft map -murder-in-the-house-minigame-pvp-map/. the animation is almost done there is just one little problem when the head is supposed to fly off it does but then when i rotate the body to do the falling animation, ( since when people lose their head their body is not sitting up still so often) the head rotates as well and then it is not pinned up to the wall as it is supposed to be.

To do this I recommend using a 'stunt double', copy the character and hide the copy until need be and then invisible the parts you don't need but the head. When it comes to it, remove the 'original' head and make the 'double' and its head appear then do as you like

The name of the pop-up was "User Account Control". So is Mine-imator safe? Because I have this PC for like 3 years and I swear I don't want to lose this PC. If you had this problem before, what did you do?

Thanks! I installed it right now and scanned my PC. "No threat detected" they said. Now to start my first animation ... And if I ever encounter problems with it later, I will try to find the cause of the problem ... ^-^

Free applications may run ad sites to help generate money for the work so they can continue it being free. But software forcing ads on your pc maybe an issue and and any old malware scanner will not pick up adware you should. Mine-imator is fine application.

Is this a working chain saw with moving teeth and it has frame built in so just copy and paste the frames and if there is one that works like mine im sorry i only looked on the first page and one more thing the grey bit sticking out is the fuel cap and the one behind it is the starter pull thing and that why theres a log in it

This is this a working chain saw with moving teeth, and it has frame built in! So, just copy and paste the frames, and if there is one that works like mine... I'm sorry. I only looked on the first page. One more thing; The grey bit sticking out is the fuel cap, and the one behind it is the starter pull thing, so that's why there's a log in it.

I can't seem to find a way around this. Objects behind glass (it seems only coloured glasses) disappear. It seems to be totally random. I thought I fixed it after closing and opening Mine Imator but nope, other objects disappear when I look at them throught the glass, or if im looking at glass through glass it also disappear.. it's a mess.

At this point I don't see a way around it. I could remove all the coloured glass panes and glass blocks on mcedit, then re-import the scenary without them and replace them with mine imator placed blocks... a total waste of time because it seems mine imator blocks aren't 1:1 in scale to the imported schematic from minecraft so I could need to adjust manually. There's no hope in waiting for an update since god knows the new version will come in.

Now im stuck with this project until the update happens, or I can be bothered to do what I said, and I don't even know that will work since even mine imator spawned glasses may cause problems (haven't tested yet).

It's an Alpha glitch. This has been technically fixed in the upcoming update, but as Marty said reloading fixes it. There isn't much else we can do but cope with it or hope it works after enough refreshes.

2. If this glitch can't be avoided, I can make your manual placement of the colored glass around your Schematic a whole lot easier. Just create a tinted glass pane in whatever color you choose. Place it wherever you need a whole string of them. Then go to your Library and select that glass pane. Click on the "Repeat" check box and adjust the X or Y or Z value until your infinite glass panes fill up the holes in your Schematic.

This happens, and honestly it's based on luck. It's better to just make tinted windows lack transparency. I can make you a texture sheet sheet for that, however it rids of animated fire textures along with lava and water.

I reported someone once and I didn't see anything happen. I still don't know how reporting works, but I don't report on newbies because throughout the internet, profanity is almost always acceptable. I guess I didn't know how lightly you guys treat reports...

I get that the mods are rather slow, but they are still getting used to the new forum software. And yeah I also get people like to swear elsewhere, but they just like to keep things PG here since kids use the forums. It's for professionalism really among other things.

And finally, I don't think getting a like is worth it until you've actually solved his issue, or at least brought enough light to where the user is satisfied with the answer. It's their choice after all, not mandatory.

I want to test how does it look with a non transparent tinted glass. I already got the texture from the minecraft .jar folder and removed the transparency. How do I apply it into the schematic so I don't need to place the blocks manually?

I think the glitch has something to do in the order the timeline is loaded, and it seems Mine Imator loads objects totally randomly each time you open it thats why sometimes some objects will go throught the glass and sometimes it doesn't. It seems the objects that are behind the glass need to be loaded first then the glass. But since it's all random it's a big mess.

I hope this is a newbie question. After searching for a while I have not been able to find how to activate local movement on objects. For example if I want to make a character move forwards diagonally from the world usually you use local movement on 3D programs. I've been having to move left right left right etc.. so I can move a character forwards which is somewhat imprecise.

Coordinates are relative to any parent objects in Mine-imator, thus an easy workaround is to place your character inside of a folder, then apply your rotation to that folder. That way, the axes on the character's keyframes will change their orientation as well.

Nope, I mean for example if I turn a character on the Y axis, then the positional axis handles of the character remain in world space as opposed to the characters. So to move a character forward one must use Z and X axis instead of just one as in most 3D apps once change more world to local motion. Does this make more sense?

Nice! i was expecting a little mores since your a good rigger. I mean the natural minecraft armor is nice! But i mean, a bit more layers? More...armor like? Like not just minecrafty but with plates and stuff. But this is still amazing!

Hello everyone, as we near 2.0's full release I thought I'd release a cancelled update to the Mine-imator Community Build. (Based on Mine-imator 1.0.6, MICB 1.0.2.) This was cancelled for various reasons including crazy instability, overly ambitious, and with me switching priorities to creating Modelbench. I don't recommend using this for actual projects due to its many bugs, as I'm only releasing this for archival purposes. Most features and changes added in Mine-imator 1.2 -> 2.0 can be traced back to this project (New interface, materials, glow, etc.) and I didn't want to leave Mine-imator development until I was able to officially add back these features. (Nor did I want to cause fighting over if the mod or vanilla was better due to lacking these features.) I don't have an official changelog cause I never made one while developing this mod. Enjoy messing with this update that led to 2.0 being what it is.
