Overdose deaths are at an all time high. Please do what you can to help pass "Aubri's Law."  Do it for Aubri. She would be pleased.

Dear Advocates,

We hope you are all doing well, staying safe, healthy, rested, and hopeful.

We are sadly seeing drug overdoses soar during the coronavirus pandemic; continued isolation and fear of police response are just two factors that are contributing to this surge.

Supervised Consumption Sites are legally sanctioned harm reduction facilities where people who use drugs can safely consume pre-obtained drugs under supervision. These sites are proven to prevent overdose deaths, increase access to harm reduction methods, connect people to healthcare, and link clients to treatment.

"Aubri's Law," S.2717 An Act relative to preventing overdose deaths and increasing access to treatment, would establish a supervised consumption site pilot program in MA. The bill sits in the Senate Ways and Means Committee--the farthest a bill of this kind has moved in Massachusetts--and it needs a big push from advocates!

Don't let the momentum stall--ask your legislators to support this bill before the legislative session ends on July 31st! We are in the middle of a public health crisis and this issue urgently needs attention in order to save lives.

Thank you for you advocacy.
