Shalom! The Holiday Season is upon us and Chanukah begins this Sunday night. We invite you to join us for our Chanukah Latke Party, Potluck Dinner, Service, Sing-Along, and Open Mic on Friday, December 19th, beginning at 5:30 PM. The latkes will be hot, the music rousing, and the comedians funny!
After weathering a difficult period for the Jewish People and the election of a new mayor, we are still here as Sondheim's song expresses, and look forward to the New Year with hopes of positive change in our city, country, and the world.
There will also be positive change here at The Actors' Temple. An architect is drawing up a proposal for an enclosed staircase in our back yard to modernize and improve our theater capabilities, allowing us to attract the shows which help to keep us vibrant and viable as a synagogue. The Landmarks Conservancy has promised us a small grant to help with the architect's fees.
At this time of year, we have so much to be grateful for. Let us feel the goodness which we constantly receive and enjoy this holiday season with open hearts.
