Light Railers,

Damien Haas

Chair, ACT Light Rail

Dear friends and Colleagues

As a committed Canberran, I am helping the Canberra Business Council
reach 3.5 million Australians by co-producing an event called "Big
Australia Means Big Business". Phillip Adams, presenter of ABC Radio
National's radio program Late Night Live will talk to a panel about
getting the Very Fast Train built between Canberra and Sydney and
developing infrastructure to spread out the population. The NSW
Government has identified Queanbeyan, Goulburn and the Southern
Highlands as three potential growth corridors for Sydney’s overflowing
hoards. And the Very Fast Train and its potential route are back on
the national agenda, along with a worldwide trend towards remote work.
Is this all good news for Canberra-region business?

Come along and find out at this free event.

The panel members are:
Peter Anderson, Chief Executive, Australian Chamber of Commerce &
Industry
Anne-Maree Huxley, Founder and CEO, Models of Success and
Sustainability (MOSS)

Dr Graham Turner, Senior research scientist, CSIRO Ecosystem Sciences
(previously Sustainable Ecosystems)
Dr Paul Mees, Senior lecturer in transport planning at RMIT.
