Kinetics dataset

Dear ActivityNet organizers,

I am starting to crawl the Kinetics dataset. This is an huge dataset. First questions comes to my mind, how much space that this dataset will occupy? 

I am just saw the crawling scripts uploading 2 days ago. For further release, could you please drop an announcement, because we do not always look at the information on the forum. For ActivityNet dataset, I spend for than 2 weeks to extract optical flows for it on my workstation. I think that processing Kinetics dataset will take much more time than ActivityNet dataset.

Thanks for your interest in ActivityNet Challenge. The Kinetics dataset is about 409GB (378GB for the training subset, and 31GB for the validation subset). We appreciate your concerns about the announcement time - the kinetics dataset was just release earlier this week by the DeepMind group, and we plan to send out an announcement soon about the dataset and task 2.

For your reference, the Kinetics dataset, when trimmed, is almost of the same volume/#frames as ActivityNet v1.3. You can use this fact when calculating the time for processing.
