They just changed the way views are found again in edge. I think it's a
nicer change but AS will have to make a change to work with it.

It happened in:

And by Just I mean Dec 21st.

I think I've got a fix here:

http://github.com/weplay/active_scaffold/tree/rails-edge

We're not using this in production yet. It's more of a proof of
concept, so caveat puller.

Thanks Luke! Now, where to put that. Does it break 2.2.x?

I think we need to start another branch to get ready for 2.3 support.
We decided a bit ago that it would be easier to support the different
versions of rails independently. So the question is, do we keep master
in line with the latest release of rails (currently 2.2-stable) and
have an edge branch for keeping in line with rails master?

I'd rather keep the names in line with rails', but in the interest of
keeping support issues low, I'd want it very easy for others to be
able be on the right version (read latest stable).

I don't know that much about script/plugin install, but can you have
it pull a specific version/branch after the clone?

I haven't tried it, but I would not expect it to work on 2.2. It does
seem like maintaining a rails-edge branch would be suitable.
Alternately, we could research how to conditionally require different
files to keep the active_scaffold master branch as compatible across
the board as possible.

w/r/t script/plugin... to install the branch I mentioned, you would do:

script/plugin install git://github.com/weplay/active_scaffold.git -r
rails-edge

Cheers,
Luke

My plan with the branches was to keep ActiveScaffold master tracking
Rails edge, and whenever Rails plunks down a version marker, do the
same.

Luke, that should work. We can just change the info on the site to tell
people what to do. Thanks. And thanks for testing it out.
