Save error when Booleans not set

Hello,

I'm using the databasedotcom gem for a project, and when saving a record, an error is returned if I don't explicitly set the Boolean fields on my object (even if their defaults are set to false in SFDC).

This is potentially problematic if another admin starts adding fields to this object later.

Is there a standard command to workaround this or is this just a known issue I'll have to be conscious of?
