ActiveMerchant response code lists

  Hi,

  I am using Activemerchant and sending the mails to the users if the transaction unsuccessful but I want to notify the user with the specific reason when a payment declined so is there a way to get the the error messages list form the response object.

  I would like to see the list of error messages and codes that active_merchant provides as a response so that i can decide what to show the user through the mail.

This is totally dependent on the gateway you're using; ActiveMerchant tries to do its best at passing through the gateway's error message to you in the response. So you'll need to research the specifics for your gateway and act appropriately.

Hi Nathaniel,

First of all thanks for the useful information, I am using the authorize.net cim gateway and they are providing the list of response codes, based on these codes i am displaying the user friendly messages.
