E 1 summary of the project report

  The goal of science education is to raise individuals who can discover, investigate and solve problems. According to the recent studies, it can be concluded that achievement of these goals are dramatically related with learning in general and especially with vocational and professional learning methods. Right selection of the learning methods, suggested by education providers, in science education is very crucial and every country has to give necessary importance to science educators for their professional vocational education.
  For this reason, the purpose of this project was to develop active learning based science education material for professional vocational development of science educators. The project was applied on 1 August 2010 to 30 July 2012. Nine institution (Nigde University Faculty of Education, Leiva Formacion, Repere Association, Dekaplus Business Services Ltd, Traku Svietimo Centras, VSI Emundus, Associazione Antares, Foundation of Knowledge, Training Cons 2005 SRL) from 7 deffirent countries (Turkey, Romania, Lithuania, Cyprus, Hungary, Spain, Italy) took place in the project. The target group of the project was science educators, undergraduate learners in science education (i.e. senior students who seek for professional development), academicians, vocational training developers, professional learning organizers. During the project fife project meeting (Turkey, Cyprus, Lithuania, Romania and Spain) were organized.
  During the project, participants shared their experience with other partners using various technologies and environments. Detailed information about all the project activities were provided on the project�s web page, also social networks allowed project participants and external users actively participate in the project process. Evaluation of the project was carried out using qualitative and quantitative methods. Dissemination works were handled by the partners seriously. As a result of the project, many active learning based materials were created and an e-book was written about the creating active learning material for science educators of vocational education.
