It possible to make the news and events page titles, the title of the article or event?

We're trying to setup a share button on our news and events pages.
Something along the lines of AddThis.com or Facebook's "Like/
Recommend" buttons. In all of these, when you press the button to
share, it sends you off to the social networking site you're trying to
share to, and the title of what you're sharing is the title of the
page you're sharing. So as is, every event page on our site has the
same page title, "Event". Every time someone tries to share an
article from our site, it just says "Event" on twitter or facebook.
Does anyone know of a way to tie the title of the event to the title
of the page so these sorts of services would have more descriptive
titles to pull in?
