Hi folks,

Can you tell me where I can find the 404 page to edit for the site? Is it outside the CMS? If so where on the server??

Thanks,

John

To create a custom 404 page, you can create a normal page in ActiveCampus, and then in your IIS config, route the 404 error to go to that page.

Its suggested that most likely the easiest way to handle old bookmarks/links etc that will no longer exist in AC is to have on this 404 page some information containing common resources that the user may be looking for.  Otherwise IIS redirects will be the only way to handle these.

Hi all,

We are getting ready to go live and I was about to register the 404
error page. Our 404 page is located in the root of the web site.
According to the reference document we were given, there is a section
of the web.config file for Custom 404. My question then for those
responding is, have you made this change and is this enough or do you
still need to adjust IIS?

Thanks,
