2.1.5 Active Campus Upgrade

Hello,
We are considering upgrading to version 2.1.5 in the near future.
Is anyone already using it and what are your thoughts on the upgrade?
Have there been a lot of issues/bugs? It is my understanding that this
version is still in beta. Is that true? Is there anyone who is holding
of upgrading because iof things that you have heard?

Hello Mike,

We are not live yet, but are pushing for this month (and it appears that we actually might hit it!) We upgraded a couple of months ago, and I have had a positive experience with 2.15. There have been some minor bugs but Datatel has been responsive to these. I am confident in the system, with regard to going live in the 2.15 environment.

I recommend the upgrade if for no other reason than the performance speed of the console. Quadrupled, maybe better. This has been invaluable as we are having to go through every page of the site, updating information for launch and we have changed our domain name from .com to .edu.

I have not found it to be "buggy" software, or perhaps a better way is to say I have found it to be less buggy than 2.14. That, and there have been some vast improvements in the documentation and help functions (though I have yet to use either extensively). There is still a long road to hoe with their documentation, but I do appreciate the progress.

We are using it. We get more time out errors now (object reference not found) then the previous 2.1.5 (February Release) version. But it seems to have fixed many items and so far, haven't found any new issues.

You'll want to make sure if you upgrade you get version 2.1.5.54 at
the very least. We have 2.1.5.45 which still has many bugs in it.
Some things were addressed but not the most critical fixes. 2.1.5.54
came out two weeks after our install and we're getting no reply on
when we will get an upgrade. We wouldn't even know about it except we
had a conference call with another college and they told us their
upgrade fixed some of our most frustrating problems.

2.1.6 is supposed to roll out this quarter according to Datatel
documentation. However there is no documentation on how or who gets
the new version.
