If you want personal growth, make sure you have a mentor, If you want
even more personal growth, be a mentor to others. I'm reading the
book with one of my Partners at work. We meet at a coffee shop or a
book store once a week to discuss 3 chapters at a time as we read.
We're a third of the way through the book and we're both planning on
sharing it with others. The workbook is very helpful.

Excellent. And consider that if each person we mentor helps mentor
someone else! Our society needs this - too many people live and work
in environments void of mentoring (and coaching) making personal and
professional growth very difficult.

Great. "Ambition" IS a "Twelve Step Program." as I just said in my
previous post, people think by owning a thing such as a vitamin to
improve heath or a book to improve self or by thinking about change,
it will come about. Pursuing change actively AND having a support
system for guidance or to stay interested, motivated and on track are
key. That is the function of coaching in any field and what most
programs are all about. What is the point of rushing to climb to the
top of a mountain all alone, saying you got to the top if you have no
story to tell of who helped you or who you helped in your journey in
getting there? For the people who had healthy homes and went to
college, the personal growth seems to end when they leave thise
environments. Why? The mentor/support systems ingrained in them are
taken away :(
