Hi,

Did ICM works with new version of OpnNI?
(OpenNI-1.5.2.23, NITE-1.5.2.21, Sensor-5.1.0.41)

Thanks.
Daniel.

Daniel,

OpenNI has been very good about keeping the interfaces consistent. As a
result, new versions of OpenNI and NITE tend to work very well with ICM.

I installed and tested some of our downloadable demos with OpenNI 1.4.0.2
and NITE 1.5.0.2 in mid-December. These were the unstable versions at the
time. The demos all worked fine.

I haven't had time to test ICM 1.1.1 against these new stable versions of
OpenNI/NITE. If I have time later today, I will run a test. I think it's
likely that they will work fine. However, do note that NITE 1.5.0.2 removes
the user calibration pose. As a result, user management in some applications
like PictureViewer may require some updates.

If I can't run the test today, it will be Friday before I can get back to
you. Several of us are out of the office this week visiting clients, family,
or attending CES.

I tried this very quickly today with PictureViewer. It works, but
there are some issues.

I found that engaging the pictures was very difficult for the first 10
seconds or so while NITE was calibrating the user. Once I got past
that period, PictureViewer worked well. Also, the change user button
does not work correctly. Once you release the user, I couldn't seem to
re-engage.

Ok Dan!

And wich is the best recommended version of OpenNI to use with ICM?

I would stick with OpenNI 1.3.3.6 and NITE 1.4.2.4 for the moment since I know you're working with PictureViewer.

Other experiences like the Unity sandbox or the new VirtualVacation app handle the lack of calibration pose a bit better. The newer versions are probably fine for those if you want to remove the calibration requirement.

Yes. I have installed this version too.
Works very fine.

Wich version of PrimeSense Sensor are you using? I am asking this
because i had some trouble with other versions of 5.0.3.4.

I tested with a Kinect using SensorKinect 5.0.3.4 from avin off of his github repository for my test the other day. I believe when I was testing in December on the unstable versions I was using the official 5.0.3.4 release with a PrimeSensor.
