1. Tell your Senators to vote NO on the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.
The House passed this act last year, and the Senate expects to take it up this year. Essentially, this bill would require states to honor concealed carry laws from neighboring states, even of they are more lax. If passed, this legislation would deprive states and localities from determining the appropriate gun safety protocols in their communities, and would allow the lowest common denominator to prevail.

2. Call your Senators to vote to end US participation in the Yemen civil war
This is a big deal. The United States' role in the Yemen civil war is complicated and controversial. Importantly, it also hasn't been authorized by Congress. Make sure your Senators know that you want to end our unauthorized war in Yemen

3. Keep calling your Senators to protect key parts of Dodd-Frank
On Tuesday, the Senate will take up a vote to unravel Wall Street reform. If passed, this "Bank Lobbyist Act" will make it easier for discrimination in home lending to go unnoticed, end key consumer protections for homebuyers, and put us at risk for another financial crisis. With bank earnings at all time highs, how can anyone argue that regulations are hurting Wall Street? Tell your Senators to vote NO on S. 2155.

4. Read up on the latest in the fight to protect Dreamers
Last week, the Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from the Trump administration of a US district court's DACA-related decision. That means while DACA renewals will be accepted for the meantime, there still is no longterm solution.

Election Day is here! Tuesday, March 6th is the Texas primary. Polls are open 7 am to a 7 pm, and as long as you're in line by 7 pm, you will be allowed to vote. Make sure you check your assigned polling place, because on Election Day, you must vote at the polling place that's assigned to you.
