Dancing, we have the opportunity to become more fully ourselves, to meet what arises in real time-- and evolve with it. This class cultivates and encourages one's capacity for expressing evolving authenticity while thriving in relationship with another. Honest and grounded facilitation invites and supports extended improvisational duets. Duets continue for long enough that the heart of their unique medicine can surface and surround. Feelings can flow, presence can enlighten, alignment with intrinsic well-being can become more clear. Appropriate for all experience levels.
This class is a perfect introduction to "movement jamming." A movement jam is an open space for independent (and interdependent) expression and exploration. At any moment, all participants are free to move or be still, alone or in connection with others. The combined beyond-words Intelligence of whatever occurs spontaneously in the space is the "music" we move to. The facilitation consists of invitations, with a trust that each being present can take care of themselves most effectively by honoring their own Truth.$7-$37 recommended donation.Nobody turned away for lack of funds.

Turtle Cove: making Whey for duh inner SPRING!
OmCulture
2210 N Pacific St. Seattle
3/10/20 7-8 pm
free with admission to Flying Turtle Dance (which follows 8-10 pm)
Hey so dis Tuesday is duh Jewish holiday of Purim... it's a wacky amalgamation of triangular open-faced cookies, clown-theatrical bravado, powerful heroines, & deeply trickster Coyote hoopla-medicine... just what the shaman ordered for un-tangling from the inherited trauma residue of ancestral patriarchal genocides!
On Purim, the deeply religious are instructed by scripture to get so drunk that they can't tell the difference between the good guy and the bad guy in the "Schpiel" that gets retold year after year. For this Tuesday's Turtle Cove, i'm inviting a ridiculously celebratory SOBRIETY that helps us get all non-binary around the imposed distinctions between "good" and "evil" that our Inner Fascist tries to cart away our Bio-diversity with.
Make WHEY for duh inner spring! Let the liquid nourishment between us ferment and propel our inner wind-up toys into outer Primavera explosions of Worthiness! Let us trace the stream of lubrication that Little Miss Muffet's curds were floating in back to their sacred Spring of icy clear spirit!
Let us drink deep from each other's company and forge a loving web of rhizomatic sibling-hood for the Flying Turtle Dance ahead, and let us say...
(FREE with admission to the Flying Turtle Dance immediately after, 8-10 pm)
